Eric Bailly insists Manchester United’s focus is only on rediscovering the “good feeling” of winning games after a tough few weeks.
United head to Stamford Bridge on Sunday at the end of what has been a busy week at Old Trafford, with one manager leaving and another set to arrive.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked after a tumultuous run of results and performances, which culminated in the 4-1 defeat at Watford.
Ralf Rangnick is now set to take his place, with the former RB Leipzig boss agreeing a deal to become interim manager until the end of the season.
The German though won’t be in charge for Sunday’s game against Chelsea though, with Michael Carrick once again leading the side — after guiding United to a 2-0 win at Villarreal in the Champions League in midweek.
With Harry Maguire out suspended following his sending-off at Watford, Bailly could be in contention to start at Stamford Bridge, and the Ivorian is eager to put a tough few weeks behind him.
“Yeah, very difficult,” Bailly told United’s website.
“You know, we lost important games but that is the past. Now for me, it’s very important to focus on the future.
“The future is Sunday and we had a good week, Tuesday against Villarreal, we have a good game.
“Sunday, we have to keep thinking in the future and give back this good feeling and good vibe for the fans. Win the game and take points: it’s very important.”
Bailly added: “It’s very important to improve. Always, it’s so important. That’s why you need to train strong and play strong.
“Now, you know, the team is ready, we’ve trained well and we have a good feeling. I help give my team-mates energy and that’s very important for us.”
