Eric Bailly says it is a dream come true to be a Manchester United player.
The Ivorian defender is a popular figure at Old Trafford and is loved by his teammates almost as much as he is by fans for his personality and approach to playing football.
Bailly suffered a fresh injury setback during pre-season last year, but is now firmly back in the reckoning under the guidance of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Prior to the coronavirus-enforced postponement of all domestic and European matches, Bailly was making a case for himself in the first team at United and he has spoken about his pride of still being at the club after a rough period in his career.
"Honestly, to just sign to play for Man United is a dream," Bailly told ESPN FC.
"To be part of a team this big is the best thing. That's why I'm so proud to play for Man United and that's why I give everything I can when I'm out on the pitch. I will literally give all my strength to this club."
When further pressed on his favourite thing about being a United player Bailly reiterated his love for the game and his gratitude for the opportunity which has presented itself.
He added: "You know what, I just love playing football. Like I said before I'm so proud to be here but I've always loved just playing football.
"Before I even got here, it was my passion, it's all I wanted to do. And to be at a club like this, it's the best thing that could ever happen to me.
"I don't even know how to describe the feeling to you but it's such an enormous thing for me."
