Ereck Flowers rips Giants and their fans in post-loss temper tantrum

It was not a good night for Dave Gettleman haters, especially those who currently play for the Washington Redskins and were on the losing end of a 24-3 Week 4 game at MetLife Stadium.

Shortly after the lopsided loss, ex-Giants safety Landon Collins shared a few words with his former teammates and promptly found himself in a skirmish with current Giants safety, Jabrill Peppers.

Not to be left in the dark, Redskins cornerback Josh Norman also made his way into the middle of that melee.

But it might have been former Giants first-round bust Ereck Flowers who took the cake, blasting the organization as “toxic” and essentially calling Big Blue fans losers in a post-loss temper tantrum for the ages.

“(Expletive), nobody is more happy not to be here than me,” Flowers told reporters after the Redskins fell to 0-4. “This has been so much more of an enjoyable experience, man. I’m not looking back at my time there. Being here for me was just toxic. It was toxic on the field, off the field. It doesn’t fit me.”

Calling the Giants toxic from the comfort of the Redskins locker room is an all-timer for Flowers, especially given the likelihood of Jay Gruden’s eventual firing. Compounding that irony is the fact that Flowers himself once got into a physical altercation with an ESPN reporter following one of the many games in which he was dominantly outplayed.

But Flowers continued by taking unprovoked aim at Giants fans.

“I don’t care for Giants fans,” Flowers said via NJ Advance Media. “They feel about me how I feel about dentists. I don’t care for this place much. I would’ve loved to have come out of here with a ‘W,’ but it’s all good.

“Once they get back to losing, the stadium will be back empty. That’s how I feel about them.”

Because of all the losing Flowers, Collins, Odell Beckham Jr. and others did at MetLife Stadium, they think the default setting is empty. That’s cute.

No, Ereck, fans come to see winners. And let’s be honest — you were no winner. But I digress…

Flowers closed by taking a shot at Dave Gettleman.

“Gettleman?” Flowers said. “Nah, I don’t care to see him. (Expletive), the world will go into flames before me and him have a conversation.”

Being 0-4 stings. It probably stings worse after you’ve been tossed to the side by several different teams and now face a completely toxic overhaul in your new digs. But hey, at least Flowers is “happier” in Washington.
