Epsom College latest: Tributes to ‘perfect’ girl, 7, found dead with headteacher mother and father

The seven-year-old girl found dead at Epsom College with her headteacher mother and father was “perfect in every way”, a nursery worker who looked after said as the police investigation into the triple tragedy continued today.

Chloe Rathbone, 27, said she was heartbroken over the death of Lettie, the daughter of the college head Emma Pattison and her husband George who were all found dead at the family home on the school grounds shortly after 1am on Sunday morning.

“They were such a lovely family and Lettie was perfect in every way,” Ms Rathbone told the Times newspaper.

John Wildgoose, a photographer who recently took the family’s photograph to mark Ms Pritchard’s arrival to take charge of the school last year, added that Lettie was a ‘little angel’.

The tributes came as Surrey Police continued to probe the circumstances which led to the tragedy.

The force has not commented on reports that shots were heard before the family’s bodies were discovered but has said that it is confident that there was no “third party involvement” in the deaths and that the tragedy was an “isolated incident”

Ms Pattison, 45, took over as head of the private school in the autumn after moving from her previous role as headteacher at Croydon High School.

Epsom College has described her as a “wonderful” head and her death has brought further tributes from across the education world.

In a speech to fellow heads last year Ms Pattison said she was in education because she was “an optimist” and believed in “big ideas” helping ot create a spark that could change children’s lives.

Her husband George, 39, was a chartered accountant and a director of a management consultancy called Tanglewood 2016.
