MADURAI: Former chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Friday accepted CM M K Stalin's challenge on Thursday for a debate on NEET. "Announce a common place. Let journalists be invited. Both of us will discuss at length about NEET. Let people be the judge and deliver the verdict," EPS said while campaigning in Madurai city on Friday.
This was in response to Stalin's challenge to EPS during his virtual campaign on Thursday. The CM had said the AIADMK government neither asked the Tamil Nadu governor nor the Union government for NEET exemption. "They (AIADMK) hid in fear and due to this NEET examination was held in Tamil Nadu for four years. I am ready to prove this," Stalin said and challenged EPS to a debate. "Respected Stalin, I am ready to accept your challenge anytime," EPS said. The AIADMK joint coordinator accused Stalin of lying and placing the blame on the erstwhile AIADMK government for NEET. "It is an open truth as to when the poisonous seed of NEET was sowed. It was sowed during the Congress government in which the DMK was a part." EPS said.
