The Premier League Golden Boot race is heating up as we head towards the new year.
Harry Kane, who topped the scoring charts in successive campaigns between 2015-17, has his sights set on another Golden Boot after striking his 13th goal of the campaign against Wolves.
Kane’s was the first goal of the day in the top flight, thundering in a stunning strike with his left foot from 25 yards into the top corner to give Spurs a 1-0 lead over Wolves before the break.
But Tottenham failed to build on their lead, instead surrendering the advantage in a remarkable second-half collapse which handed Liverpool another boost in the race for the league crown.
Goals from Willy Boly, Raul Jimenez and Helder Costa inside the final 20 minutes secured a stunning 3-1 victory at Wembley as Spurs missed thew chance to close the gap to thew summit to three points ahead of Liverpool's late kick-off.
That result allowed Liverpool to extend their lead at the top of the league with Mohamed Salah taking full advantage of a meek Arsenal side to score his 13th of the season, also laying on his seventh assist.
