Tottenham put their derby loss behind them to beat Southampton and move up to third as Liverpool survived an almighty scare from Burnley to maintain their winning run.
Elsewhere, Fulham and Leicester drew 1-1. On Tuesday, Crystal Palace were thumped by 10-man Brighton in the M23 derby, West Ham secured a second big win in four days and Manchester City made easy work of Watford.
