- Five episodes of the popular Australian children's animated series, Bluey , have been dubbed into Yolŋu Matha, an Indigenous Australian language.
- The dubbed episodes are set to premiere on 5 July, coinciding with the start of NAIDOC Week, an annual celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Yolŋu Matha is a group of First Nations languages spoken by communities in north-east Arnhem Land, in Australia's Northern Territory.
- The project is a collaboration between the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), Yolŋu Radio, Aboriginal Resource and Development Services (ARDS), and Ludo Studio, with scripts adapted to incorporate Yolŋu cultural references.
- This initiative aims to preserve and celebrate First Nations languages, bringing Yolŋu language and culture into homes across Australia.
