Epicures announces permanent closure of Hyndland restaurant

Popular west end restaurant Epicures has announced that it is shutting down.

The Hyndland eatery made the announcement on Facebook, confirming that they are closing their doors today.

The restaurant thanked customers who had supported the business during lockdown.

However, while it may be the end of the line for Epicures, the eatery hinted that there could be something new on the horizon, telling people to "stay tuned".

Their statement reads: "It feels right on this particularly dreich Monday to let you know we’re closing our doors today.

"We’ve loved serving you during lockdown with takeaway and at home meals - your support has been amazing - thank you. ️

"Time for a new chapter...stay tuned."

Many people expressed their dismay over the news on social media and sent well wishes to the staff.

The news comes after the closure of Koh I Noor, Romans Pizzeria Wee Lochan  and The Sisters, known for its Scottish produce-led fine dining.
