EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum going for three in a row in European tourism award

One of Dublin's leading tourist attractions has once again been nominated for the title of Europe’s Leading Tourist Attraction at the World Travel Awards.

EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum, which is based in the CHQ Building on Custom House Quay, is the reigning champion, having picked up the title in 2019 and 2020.

The museum is now going for three in a row, but it has some stiff competition, as the other nominees include Buckingham Palace in London, Sagrada Familía in Barcelona, the Acropolis of Athens, the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Colosseum in Rome.

EPIC is one of two Irish nominees, alongside another former winner of the title, Spike Island in Cork.

Aileesh Carew, Head of Marketing and Sales, EPIC Museum, said, “I am proud that we have been nominated as Europe's Leading Tourist Attraction for the third year in a row.

"We have worked hard to deserve the distinction of being the leading tourist attraction in Europe, devoting our creativity, resources and time towards education, entertainment and collaboration within the cultural sector at home and abroad.

"This award would be a wonderful boost after a very challenging year. This will mean a lot to us, as well as a boost for Dublin and for Irish tourism.”

You can help EPIC in their three in a row bid by voting for them at worldtravelawards.com before July 14th.
