Medical students donned their best fancy dress for The University of Birmingham's legendary annual bar crawl.
The event - called The Hop - has been going for 20 years and is held for the country's future doctors, nurses and other medical professional students the week after Fresher's Week.
There is no theme to the fancy dress, prompting a huge array of weird and wonderful outfits from the first year students.
In previous years people have dressed as anything from an electricity pylon to a North Korean ballistic missile.
This year saw some hilarious creations including a lady dressed as a Durex box, completing her outfit with a pair of condom earrings and slicked back hair.

A group of girls also dressed as the classic character from Eric Carle's children's picture book the Hungry Caterpillar.
Another group of girls dressed as a four-pack of Corona while a group went as a Meal Deal - complete with a packet of Doritos and Tropicana drink.
The students started out at a packed out Players nightclub at 8.30pm and then went on to The Walkabout a short distance away and partied until the early hours.

The revellers were in high spirits as they flaunted their creations which took some of them hours to make.
Among other creations were a group of brides, Queens Guards, a man dressed as a baby and a group of men dressed as beekepers.
A man also dressed as Mr Bump, a group of girls went as ducklings, a group dressed as heavy metal band Kiss and three girls all went as Britney Spears throughout the years.

The students enjoyed the night without a hitch, knowing their limits and not putting pressure on A&E departments unlike other recent fresher events.
This was despite them being offered cheap drinks including two Jager bombs for £5, double spirits for £4 and a bottle of Corona or WKD for £1.75.

The event also sells a drink called 'Heidi', which was originally made by a Birmingham medical student who is now a successful GP in Stourbridge.
The drink consists of two shots of Archers, two of Smirnoff and one of Malibu all in a pint glass and topped up with orange or cranberry juice and lemonade.
The drink has been described as "Delicious and fairly lethal" and were on sale for £6.
