Eoin Kelly added to Tipperary management team for 2020

Eoin Kelly has been added to the Tipperary senior hurling management team for 2020.

Kelly, the 2010 All-Ireland winning captain, was drafted into the set up this year by boss Liam Sheedy to provide tutelage to the free-takers and was part of the team entourage on match days as they regained the All-Ireland title.

But Sheedy has put Kelly’s involvement on a more formal footing for next year as he comes on board alongside selectors Tommy Dunne and Darragh Egan.

Sheedy commented: “I have a wonderful relationship with Eoin going back many years. He brings a huge amount of experience to the management team and I am thrilled to have him on board.”

Also, former manager Eamon O’Shea, who was also involved this year and operated as a water carrier during games, has been given the title of ‘performance director’.

Sheedy added: “Eamon played a pivotal role ensuring the team was successful in 2019 and he is hugely respected within the group. His new role will give him the scope to be of even greater benefit to the panel in 2020.”
