Enzo Kana-Biyik: Manchester United confirm third summer signing after Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon deals

Manchester United have announced the signing of highly-rated youngster Enzo Kana-Biyik.

The French forward, 18, has put pen-to-paper on a contract at Old Trafford after the Red Devils won the race to sign the Le Havre wonderkid back in April.

As Kana-Biyik was out of contract with the Ligue 1 outfit, it means he joins United on a free transfer and is eligible for a professional deal having turned 18 in January.

Last season, the France youth international scored nine goals in 18 appearances for Le Havre's Under-19s team.

Furthermore, he was named on the bench for two senior matches - the league meeting with Lille as well as the cup tie against Stade Briochin - but did not make an appearance in either.

United fans will have to wait a while to see the striker in action as Kana-Biyik has been immediately loaned out to Lausanne-Sport in Switzerland to aid his first-team development.

“Manchester United have completed the signing of exciting young forward Enzo Kana-Biyik,” a statement reads.

“Following the signing of his contract, the emerging talent has secured a loan switch to Swiss Super League side, Lausanne-Sport.

“Everyone at United would like to welcome Enzo to the club and wish him the very best of luck for his loan.”

Kana-Biyik becomes the third player to arrive at United this summer, following the £62.5m addition of Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha from Wolves and the signing of Diego Leon.

More deals are expected before the transfer window closes as Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo favours a move to Old Trafford having been linked with moves to Tottenham, Arsenal and Newcastle.
