A number of flood warnings and alerts are in place across the North East coast and rivers following heavy rain over the weekend.
The warnings have been issued around England and Wales by the Environment Agency after bouts of persistent rain.
Several flood warnings, where flooding is expected, are in place at Roker, Whitley Bay , Cullercoats , Tynemouth , Alnmouth and Seahouses.
Sea water could flow over onto coastal roads and low-lying paths as a result of high spring tides.
Flood alerts, which mean flooding is possible, apply to the River Wear between Chester-le-Street and the North Sea, the River Tyne between Newburn and the North Sea, the Northumberland coast and the River Tweed around Berwick.
Areas most at risk in Northumberland are the beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads at Seahouses North Pier, Beadnell harbour road, Alnmouth river footpath, the A1068 main road and the North Blyth roundabout and sand dunes.
The Environment Agency is monitoring the at-risk areas and may issue further alerts at high tide on Monday.
At the moment, the warnings and alerts are expected to stay in place until 12pm.
Monday should stay mostly dry but there is expected to be another outbreak of rain at around 9pm which will continue into the night and Tuesday morning.
