Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier): The looks. He’s the reason for the entourage, the gorgeous actor whose mates have come along for the ride. He’d like to be taken more seriously as an actor, otherwise he’s not that fussed by much. Not overly bright, but laid-back, kind and very charming, Vince constantly has a line of beauties waiting to get into his knickers. The others are left to fight over the scrapsPhotograph: Claudette Barius/HBOEric 'E' Murphy (Kevin Connolly): The brains. And the most grounded of the bunch. When they lived back in New York, E ran a pizza place, and he does have a fair amount of business – and common – sense. Now he acts as Vince’s manager, and though he makes mistakes, he learns from them. He doesn’t party like the others do, take so many drugs, or bed as many women. Your mum might even approve of EPhotograph: Warner BrosTurtle (left, Jerry Ferrera): The ligger. Well, they’re all liggers, but Turtle is the ultimate, a total chancer. He’s the least ambitious, just wants to have a good time. He’s also the sweet one, and the fat one. Turtle’s main interests in life are pot and porn. Bizarrely he gets a girlfriend – the Sopranos’ Jamie Lynn Sigler who plays herself. Even more bizarrely, Jerry Ferrara, who plays Turtle, is dating JLS in real life. Drama (centre, played by Kevin Dillon): The brother. Drama is older, less attractive and much less successful than Vince – which is hard for him, as they’re brothers. He gets some success after series four when he lands a big part in a TV show, but mostly he’s about being a misguided loser and living in Vince’s shadow. Drama provides much of Entourage’s comedy and has some of the best linesPhotograph: Gavin Bond/Corbis OutlineAri Gold (Jeremy Piven): The Agent. And the other guy with the good lines. Ari represents everything that is wrong with Hollywood – the greed, the shallowness, the backstabbing, etc. He is an unhinged force of nature, a man who appears to lack any kind of moral fibre. And yet weirdly, he remains loyal, and faithful, to his wife. Brilliant performance by Jeremy PivenPhotograph: Warner BrosThe Women: Hmmm ... not really. I mean there are women about the place - Mrs Ari, Eric’s Sloan, Jamie-Lynn Sigler (pictured in the centre), all of Vince’s ladies. But this one is really about – and for – the boys. Come on, it’s our Sex and the CityPhotograph: HBO
