The Old Church, Kilmany is on the market for offers over £130,000 located just outside of the village of Kilmany near Cupar in Fife.

The stunningly unique property consists of three large rooms, two meeting rooms and the main hall where the services used to take place.

The Old Church comes complete with all the pews, a pulpit and a number of religious statues.

The property is described as a “three bedroom detached house” and is set in a walled graveyard.

The historic former church is in a quiet setting perfect for peace and quiet and the large windows look out to the serene Fife countryside.

Planning has already been approved to turn the religious property into a three-bedroom home.

For the bargain price of £130,000 and planning permission in place this could be a unique opportunity for a one of a kind home with a colourful past.

Rettie who are marketing the property describe it as “A simple rectangle, with a west porch and bellcote.

“It is surrounded by a graveyard with stones the earliest of which date from the late eighteenth century, and its use continued into the late twentieth century.

“A Listed Building Consent and Change of Use have been obtained to convert the property into a unique, open plan 3 bedroom home.”

The property lies just outside the peaceful leafy town of Kilmany and has a number of country pubs and shops in nearby Cupar.

Kilmany is known for its connections with Jim Clark, the former world champion Formula One racing-car driver.

The famous Fifer was born in the village and there is a statue of the driver by the roadside.

Just a short drive to the east lies the ancient and historic university town of St. Andrews, renowned worldwide as the “Home of Golf”.

Another nine miles away takes you to Dundee, a bustling city with many cultural attractions including the impressive V&A.
