The email said: "We have had a confirmed gas leak on the school premises. All children have been evacuated to the school field.

"Engineers are working to solve the issue but unfortunately all children must be collected from the school field at the following times:

"Year 1 & 2 - 11.30am from the school field - any siblings can be collected at this time.

"Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 - 11.50am from the school field.

"Reception children to be collected at 11.30am from the Botanic Gardens gate with their siblings.

"Any nursery or reception children who would be attending this afternoon should not come to school.

"Please be mindful that the school site will be busy - please walk if possible."
