All activities, including sports and entertainment, can continue following the announcement of the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajarakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati.

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said on Friday all concerts and other events are allowed as planned but organisers and attendants should rise for a moment of silence for the late princess before the activities are scheduled to start during the mourning period.

The government announced a 15-day mourning period for Princess Bajarakitiyabha from Friday and all officials are required to don mourning outfits during that time. Flags at all state offices and schools will be at half mast to respect the late princess.

The princess passed away on Thursday at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital after having been hospitalised since Dec 15, 2022. She collapsed while training her pet dog in Pak Chong district in Nakhon Ratchasima a day earlier.

People flocked to the hospital to pay their respects to the late princess.
