'Enough is enough' - Hundreds of thousands of Arsenal fans send strong message to Stan Kroenke

Arsenal fans are still demanding that Stan Kroenke leaves their football club.

The American owner was not exactly popular among the Gunners supporter base heading into Sunday night, but the last 48 hours seem to have made his position even more difficult.

And the message is clear from Arsenal fans, who feel hurt and let down by the club and, in particular, its owner after the Gunners agreed to become a founding member of The Super League.

Just 48 hours later, Arsenal withdrew from the project, along with the other five Premier League participants, as well as Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan, who have since pulled the plug on their involvement in the European Super League.

Arsenal have since released an apologetic statement, saying: "The last few days have shown us yet again the depth of feeling our supporters around the world have for this great club and the game we love.

"We needed no reminding of this but the response from supporters in recent days has given us time for further reflection and deep thought.

"It was never our intention to cause such distress, however when the invitation to join the Super League came, while knowing there were no guarantees, we did not want to be left behind to ensure we protected Arsenal and its future.

"As a result of listening to you and the wider football community over recent days we are withdrawing from the proposed Super League. We made a mistake, and we apologise for it."

But that is not enough for Gunners fans, who believe Kroenke should now look to sell the club after around 13 years at the helm.

More than 199,000 have sent the same message as Arsenal legend Ian Wright, who tweeted #KroenkeOut on Twitter today, and that number keeps growing.

Here's what some fans have had to say on Twitter.

@PatrickTimmons1 - "Yesterday might have marked the end of our involvement in the SL, but the pressure on owners must continue. Stan Kroenke, The Glazers & FSG disgraced everything that our clubs stand for & left the players/staff in the dark. We can’t back down now. #KroenkeOut #GlazersOut #FSGOut"

@Goonersview - "Let’s keep this going Arsenal fans. We all want #KroenkeOut"

@AFCBezza - "Enough is enough. We stand together #KroenkeOut"

@ande_besha - 199k tweets of #Kroenkeout. hope it happens

@mandagooner - Actions speak louder than words #KroenkeOut

@mdopro79274722 - #KroenkeOut that's the tweet.
