If you were glued to your TV screens watching the first instalment of Enola Holmes , then you’re going to love this news.
Netflix has confirmed a second film of Enola Holmes, potentially seeing many cast members reprise their roles for it.
After the huge success of the first movie, the streaming service has ordered production on a follow-up, which probably won’t be shown until at least next year.

That doesn’t mean, however, that we don’t have some details on the sequel, but lots of it is wrapped in mystery at the moment. Here’s everything we know so far on this hotly-anticipated release.
When will Enola Holmes 2 be released?
At the moment, Enola Holmes 2 isn’t scheduled to drop on the streaming service for some time.
Production on the follow-up film was only confirmed back in May, so it may not have even got going yet.
We do know, however, that some filming will take place in Hull this autumn.
According to HullLive , filming for Enola Holmes 2 will take place in the city this October with residents warned in advance of road closures to allow it to happen.
Given, then, that we know filming will have started before the end of the year, you can probably count on a release date sometime in 2022. But we’ll keep you posted when we know something concrete.
Who’s in the Enola Holmes 2 cast?
According to Variety , only two cast members have so far been confirmed for the sequel of Enola Holmes.
They are Millie Bobby Brown, who will play the super-intelligent teenager Enola Holmes, and Henry Cavill, who will be back as Sherlock Holmes.
We can speculate that some of the first movie line-up such as Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes and Sam Claflin as Mycroft Holmes will probably be back, but we don’t know for certain.
Although not in the cast, writer Jack Thorne and director Harry Bradbear will return to help with the production and story of the follow-up film.
What can we expect the plot to be in Enola Holmes 2?
We don’t yet know any details on what clues will be pieced together by the intrepid detective Enola in the follow-up film as we don’t have the information on a fresh mystery.
However, we did see the Holmes family come together at the conclusion of the first movie, with Enola keen to pursue her own detective endeavours.
Whether she does remains to be seen, but we know we’ll have our ears and eyes on the TV screen when Enola Holmes 2 drops on the Netflix streaming service.
