An Enniskillen hotel is to host a Christmas lights switch on event to mark the beginning of the festive season.
The Westville Hotel on the Tempo Road in the Co Fermanagh town will be raising funds for cancer charity Cancer Connect at the switch on event.
Among the festive fun which will be on offer, will be Christmas choirs and other live music, as well as a Christmas market with mulled wine and crafts.
The lights switch on will take place on Thursday November 25 and the hotel’s Shane Browne said it was great to get back to hosting such events in 2021.
Shane added: “It’s a packed evening of entertainment and a family event for the people of Fermanagh to come and enjoy and kickstart the festive season
“It’s great that we can do that with so much positivity. It’s been a tough time for the hospitality industry, there's no doubt about that.
“But people have been so receptive to us and it will be great to have everyone out again to enjoy a bite to eat and a bit of fun at the event.
“We’ve all missed that being able to come together with friends and family for things like this.
“It was an opportunity for us to be able to give back a little to the community that have helped us out since reopening, it’s free entry so everyone can come along.”
Funds will be raised on the night in support of Cancer Connect NI, a Co Fermanagh charity which supports those affected by the illness.
Shane added: “We’ve a great relationship with the charity and as a business in the town we want to be able to give back to the local charities.
“They are supporting us with the event as well and a lot of the proceeds will be going to the charity itself.
“People will have the opportunity to donate to them, so hopefully that will get a bit of support as well.”
