Enniskillen attack: Teenager suffers head injuries in early morning attack

A man was taken to hospital with head injuries after being attacked in Co Fermanagh in the early hours of the morning.

Police are appealing for information following the incident in the Belmore Street area of Enniskillen at around 12.15am on Monday, June 28, when a 19-year-old was reportedly attacked by a man.

A 20-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and remains in police custody.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police are appealing for information following the report of an assault in the Belmore Street area of Enniskillen in the early hours of this morning (Monday, June 28th).

"Police received a report at around 12:15 am that sometime around 12:05 am, a 19 year old man had been assaulted by a man in the Belmore Street area.


"The 19-year-old suffered injuries to his head and was taken to hospital for treatment.

"A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and remains in custody at this stage.

"Investigations are continuing, and anyone who was in the area at the time, or may have any information that could assist police with their enquiries, is asked to call 101 quoting reference number CW 37 of 28/06/21.

"Alternatively, you can submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.
