Enlighten Festival set to light up our lives once again

It was great to hear the news this week that the Enlighten Festival would return to light up our lives, from February 26 to March 14.

Chief Minister Andrew Barr is expected to switch on the illuminations at 8pm on Friday, February 26, officially welcoming back one of Canberra's most-loved festivals, heading into arguably our most-loved season - autumn.

The illuminations will be on nightly from 8pm to 11pm between February 26 and March 8, lighting up iconic buildings in the Parliamentary Triangle including the National Gallery and Old Parliament House as well as the historic Sydney and Melbourne buildings in Civic.

Enlighten also embraces the Canberra Balloon Spectacular from March 6 to 14; Symphony in the Park on March 7 in Commonwealth Park; and Canberra Day on March 8, when we celebrate the national capital turning 108.

Registrations are not required for viewing the projections and installations but visitors are encouraged to use the Check In CBR app.

Registrations will be required for Bentspoke Beer Garden and Enlighten Alley.
