Enjoy the sunny weather because the Met Office say rain is coming to Wales

It's been a glorious few days of weather in Wales with record-breaking temperatures for the Easter weekend.

A new record was set for the country on Easter Sunday, recorded at Trawsgoed near Aberystwyth which saw temperatures of 25C.

It beat the previous record was set on April 22, 1984 when 21.6C was recorded in Brynamman.

The weather in Wales was 8C higher than the Spanish capital of Madrid , according to the Met Office.

The sunshine continued on Easter Monday with most of the country again seeing the mercury reach around 20C.

Another record was broken with Wales enjoying its hottest Easter Monday on record after temperatures hit 23.6C in parts of north Wales.

The country was again hotter than parts of Europe, beating Barcelona which saw 17C for most of the day according to Weather.com

But for everyone who's enjoyed long days on the beach, barbecues in the garden and games in the park, the bad news is it's not going to last.

BBC Weather reports show the temperature in Cardiff will drop to between 10C and 15C by Wednesday with heavy rain forecast.

In Swansea, the BBC predicts showers and lows of 9C on Thurday.
