A candlelit dinner is taking place in Manchester's highest restaurant this Halloween

Manchester's tallest restaurant will be hosting a candlelit dinner this Halloween.

20 Stories is bringing back its popular Blackout event, where guests can enjoy an atmospheric evening with views right across Manchester.

The event, run in partnership with Belvedere Vodka, will allow customers to enjoy panoramic views while they dine by candlelight for one night only.

Guests will travel 20 storeys up to the restaurant where they will be greeted by a darkened venue, and given a crafted Belvedere cocktail.

The menu includes four courses, consisting of seared scallops to start, followed by pickled vegetable salad with goat’s curd and a walnut and sherry dressing.

The main dish is a herb crusted lamb cannon, sautéed asparagus and a pea and mint purée, and to finish guests will enjoy a pistachio soufflé served with pistachio ice cream and chocolate crumble.

There is also a vegan menu available, and the restaurant caters for special dietary requirements.

Boasting over 600 types of wine, as well as an extensive selection of spirits, 20 Stories has plenty of drinks to satisfy thirsty customers.

Cocktails include Manchester-themed names and use local spirits where possible, such as the Champagne Supernova or the Manchester Tart Punch which is inspired by their dessert of the same name.

Reviewer Layla Cole said: “My girlfriend took me here for one of my birthday dinners recently and we had the most amazing time.

“The food and drinks are out of this world! The views are breath-taking and I had such a wonderful time here. The staff are brilliant and service is very efficient. Will definitely be going here again next time we are in Manchester.”

Anthony Parkinson added: “Wonderful setting on top of a skyscraper. Great décor that feels upmarket. Staff are excellent at what they do. The cocktails were divine!

“Highly recommend the Manchester Tart cocktail. Price wise it is an upmarket venue so don't expect anything less than a tenner. Perfect excuse to get dressed up though.”

The experience costs £55 per person, and time slots are at 7pm, 7.30pm and 8pm. To book a table, contact rebeccaw@danddlondon.com

20 Stories is located at NO. 1, 1 Hardman Square, Manchester M3 3EB
