Enjoy a film without popcorn rustling at this strictly silent Edinburgh cinema event

There's nothing worse than going to the cinema and having to deal with other people - yeah, we said it and we bet you think it too.

Luckily during Edinburgh's International Film Festival, Eden Locke is bringing you something a little different - a Silent Cinema.

You’ve heard of a Silent Disco? This is a Silent Cinema - where thanks to a provided set of headphones you won't have to worry about someone munching chocolate too loudly or that one person with a stubborn-every-thirty-second-cough.

On 21 June you can head down to 127 at Eden Locke (the film starts at 7pm) and enjoy a peaceful screening of Wes Anderson's latest film, Isle of Dogs. You'll be welcome with a glass of bubbles and a bag of popcorn for a real cinema experience.

The bar at 127 will stay open until 11pm, so you can stay around for a drink after the film ends.

The film is stop-motion animated science-fiction adventure film written, produced and directed by Wes Anderson. Set in a dystopian near-future Japan, the story follows a young boy searching for his dog after the species is banished to an island following the outbreak of canine flu.

Tickets are just £10 with everything included - click here to find out more and buy yours.
