Singer Lily Allen wrote a sweet tribute to Dublin following her appearance at Love Sensation.

The 34-year-old English star was one of the headliners at the LGBTQ friendly music festival on Saturday.

She wrote in a tweet: “Dublin, thank you for giving me your love sensation.

“Definitely still feeling it the next day. Hopefully you won't ghost me and we'll do it again soon.”

Tens of thousands of people attended the weekend festival which was organised by popular club night Mother and the annual Pride Block Party.

Meanwhile, popular band Gossip had to cancel their appearance on the main stage after lead singer Beth Ditto sustained an injury on the way to the airport.

The American singer received a shoulder injury after she fell on her way to the airport today.

Irish electric pop duo LE BOOM will be taking to the main stage tonight in their stead.

A spokesperson for the festival said: “Gossip and Love Sensation Festival are sorry to announce that after an accident on the way to the airport today where she received a shoulder injury from a fall, lead singer Beth Ditto is unable to perform tonight on the advice of her doctors.

“Gossip would sincerely like to apologise to their many fans who were coming to the festival for any disappointment and inconvenience caused.

“Love Sensation are delighted to announce that good friends of Mother, Irish electronic pop duo, LE BOOM will now take to the main stage at 7.45 pm.”
