English clubs get creative with bizarre transfer announcements on social media

The January transfer window may not have had the same level of excitement as previous years, but it did provide some memorable moments. While the total spend in the Premier League fell significantly compared to previous records, clubs found ways to keep things interesting with their creative and over-the-top transfer announcements.

Tottenham Hotspur embraced the mythical and fire-breathing beast references for their new defender, Dragosin. They welcomed the Romania international with 'Dragon Ball Z'-inspired artwork, connecting his surname to the powerful creature.

Borussia Dortmund made a bold statement when announcing the return of Sancho by echoing Michael Jordan's iconic two-word phrase from his basketball comeback. It was a grand gesture for a player who had been out of action since August due to disputes with his previous manager.

Burnley, known for their eccentric transfer announcements, didn't disappoint this time either. They presented a new signing with a cleverly edited clip from Steven Spielberg's 'ET,' adding a touch of nostalgia to their announcement.
