Three years on from those yacht makeout pictures, spitgate, and all the Don’t Worry Darling drama, Olivia Wilde has finally found her peace.
As it happens, that peace is located in Primrose Hill, in the arms of another English boy: art dealer Caspar Joplin.
But he’s not just any art dealer. Caspar Joplin is the son of Yorkshire’s Hon. Nicholas Jopling, the nephew of White Cube founder Jay Jopling, the best friend of Princess Eugenie, and ex-husband of Ellie Goulding.
Perhaps Wilde’s time in Hampstead with Harry Styles taught her that north west London is her spiritual home. Either way, she’s back in the borough of Camden and was recently spotted walking her pet labradoodle while cosying up to Joplin.
Olivia Wilde, 41, and Caspar Joplin, 33, were first linked back in July 2025 after being spotted on a series of dates around Notting Hill.
The pair were recently spied dining and drinking red wine at The Pelican restaurant before kissing outside the venue. Joplin is an investor in the restaurant and its sister pub, The Fat Badger, which sources say has allowed him to date Wilde in relative privacy.
“Those pubs have allowed Caspar to date a world-famous actress under the radar for months,” a source told The Mail on Sunday. “They always manage to get the best tables — little concealed spots in dark corners reserved for celebrities.”
The new couple made their first public appearance together last month, at W Magazine's New York Fashion Week party, proving they’re more than just a summer fling.
While Caspar Jopling and Ellie Goulding only announced their split last year, they are thought to have been separated since early 2023. Confirming the breakup on her Instagram story in February of last year, Goulding revealed that she and Jopling had called it quits “some time ago” but remained “closest of friends” and co-parents to their four-year-old son, Arthur.
If Wilde was looking for another quintessentially English boy, she shot for the moon and accidentally landed amongst the aristocracy. Jopling attended Eton, got an MBA from Oxford, and his family owns Frickley Hall in Yorkshire — a Grade II listed building dating back to 1760 and the “Warde-Aldam family seat”.
As well as his father and uncle, Jopling’s grandfather was Thomas Michael Jopling, a minister who served in office between 1983-1987 under Margaret Thatcher.
But is Wilde more well acquainted with this life than you might expect? Before Harry Styles and ex-husband Jason Sudeikis, Wilde was married to an Italian prince (and artist-filmmaker), Tao dei Principi Ruspoli, making her technically a princess, according to reports. Wilde and Ruspoli were married from 2003 until 2011, the year that she met Jason Sudeikis.
She and Sudeikis welcomed two children during their relationship — a son, Otis, who is 11 years old, and a daughter, Daisy, who is 9 years old — but split during the pandemic, in November 2020.
Wilde’s relationship with Styles became public knowledge a few months later. They dated from 2020 until late 2022, with a source telling People that they were “taking a break” due to their demanding careers.
