Sarina Wiegman has kept faith with her attacking stars as Lauren James starts the Euro 2025 final against Spain.
James had been a doubt for the match after she was forced to come off at half-time of England’s semi-final victory over Italy.
The Chelsea winger, however, was able to train on Saturday afternoon and is fit to face Spain.
Chloe Kelly and Michelle Agyemang have been the key players off the bench in the knockout stages but both again miss out on the starting lineup, as Lauren Hamp and James keep their places.
England captain Leah Williamson confirmed she is fully fit after injuring her ankle against Sweden in the quarter-finals.
Williamson had to come off before the penalty shootout, but she returned for the semi-final win over Italy and leads the side in Basel.
“My ankle is great. My mum actually rolled her ankle a couple of days ago, so she has taken all the attention away from me now,” said Williamson at the pre-match press conference.
“But no, I had a scare and obviously I want to be involved. I want to be available to help the team any way they need me, but I played that game, the semi-final, and I am ready to go tomorrow.”
Jess Carter gets the nod over Esme Morgan in defence, in what is the only change to the side that beat Italy.
