England XI vs Senegal: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for friendly today

Bukayo Saka makes his first start under Thomas Tuchel as England take on Senegal in Nottingham.

Arsenal star Saka has missed the last two international camps through injury and was also absent for Saturday’s 1-0 win over Andorra with a muscle strain.

Saka is fit now, though, and starts on the right wing as the Three Lions take on ‘the Lions of Teranga’ in a friendly this evening.

“I love coming to the England camps and playing for England,” Saka said. “It’s been a bit of a frustrating year but I’m here now. I’m really excited to play, so hopefully I’m in the starting XI.

“After the last game of the season I had a little strain. Fair play to England, they managed me quite well during the week.

“I was only able to do one or two sessions, so the manager made the decision that he would leave me out and then have me involved tomorrow.”

Tuchel has made changes after the tame win over Andorra and a number of players will be hoping to get minutes.

Dean Henderson gets the chance to impress in goal, while Myles Lewis-Skelly is one of those that comes into the defence.

In midfield, Declan Rice starts after only playing the final nine minutes against Andorra. Morgan Gibbs-White is only on the bench on his home ground. Conor Gallagher and Eberechi Eze start in midfield.

Noni Madueke shone on the flank in Barcelona, but the return of Saka - and the inclusion of Anthony Gordon - means he has to settle for a place on the bench.

England XI: Henderson, Walker, Colwill, Chalobah, Lewis-Skelly, Rice, Gallagher, Eze, Saka, Kane, Gordon

Subs: Pickford, Trafford, James, Konsa, Gibbs-White, Henderson, Bellingham, Burn, Toney, Alexander-Arnold, Jones, Rogers, Madueke, Palmer

Time and date: 7:45pm BST on Tuesday June 10, 2025

Venue: City Ground, Nottingham
