England XI vs Belgium: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup, latest injuries for Nations League game

England boss Gareth Southgate has a number of selection dilemmas ahead of Sunday’s Nations League clash with Belgium at Wembley.

In goal, Jordan Pickford is due to return despite Nick Pope keeping a clean sheet against Wales and the defence is likely to have some changes too.

Conor Coady excelled against Wales, scoring and even captaining the side for part of the second half, but the fact that both he and Michael Keane played the full 90 minutes makes you think they will be rotated out.

Eric Dier and Harry Maguire, who did not play on Thursday, should come in and Joe Gomez – who came off after 58 minutes against Wales – is expected to keep his place in a back three.

The same goes for Kieran Tripper who, after playing just under an hour against Wales, is likely to start at wing-back, but this time on the left and not right.

Trent Alexander-Arnold will hope to come in for Bukayo Saka to take the right-side spot, while in the centre of midfield Jordan Henderson and Declan Rice are primed to start.

The attack is also set to be revamped from Thursday’s win over Wales, with captain Harry Kane ready to return and lead the line.

Out wide, Jadon Sancho will hope to make his first appearance after breaching coronavirus regulations last weekend.

Marcus Rashford of Manchester United is also expected to form part of the front three.
