Chelsea captain Reece James looks to be starting at left-back for England, with Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones in line to be used as an inverted right-back, with Ezri Konsa and Dan Burn the central defenders and Jordan Pickford in goal.
Jordan Henderson partners Jude Bellingham in midfield, with Chelsea duo Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke making their first appearances under Tuchel along with Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, supporting captain Harry Kane in attack.
England will not have Villa striker Ollie Watkins available to them, though, after he withdrew from the squad “as a precaution due to a minor injury”, with no replacement called up.
Bukayo Saka will also not be risked after only completing one full session during a gruelling warm-weather training camp in Girona after a knock sustained with Arsenal on the final day of the Premier League season.
Phil Foden is not part of the squad after he asked the Football Association (FA) to leave him out for these two matches, with the likes of Marc Guehi, Marcus Rashford, Dominic Solanke, Harry Maguire and Jarrod Bowen also absent.
Uncapped Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is among the substitutes, but there is no Conor Gallagher.
