England World Cup opponents sack their manager after four straight losses

World Cup Ghana Otto Addo England Thomas Tuchel the World Cup Austria Croatia Germany Panama

Ghana have sacked their manager Otto Addo just 78 days before their first match at the 2026 World Cup.
Ghana were beaten 2-1 by Germany in a friendly on Monday night after losing 5-1 to Austria last Friday.
They have now lost four straight games, a run that led to Addo being dismissed.
Ghana are due to face Panama in their opening game of the World Cup before taking on Thomas Tuchel’s England on 23 June.
Ghana, who reached the World Cup quarter-finals in 2010, will conclude their group stage campaign against Croatia on 27 June.
