England World Cup hopeful set to miss rest of the season due to injury

Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite is expected to miss the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury.
The 23-year-old picked up the injury during Everton’s 2-1 defeat by Liverpool on Sunday, and had to be carried off on a stretcher.
Everton confirmed it was a separate issue to the hamstring problem that troubled Branthwaite earlier in the campaign, but announced that he is “unlikely to feature again this season” as he begins his rehabilitation.
Branthwaite has one England cap and was hopeful of making Thomas Tuchel’s squad for this summer’s World Cup.
However, he now looks set to miss the tournament following his latest injury setback.
