England have officially claimed the 2020 Six Nations title thanks to a narrow French win over Ireland.
Les Bleus beat Andy Farrell's men 35-27 in Paris in what was the final fixture of Super Saturday to round off a protracted 2020 Championship.
The match began with Ireland, France and England - who beat Italy 34-5 earlier on Saturday in Rome - all in with a chance of claiming this year's title.
But, despite a bonus-point victory, France's winning margin was not enough for Fabien Galthie's side to leapfrog England in the Six Nations table. Eddie Jones' men take the honours courtesy of their superior points difference.
Antoine Dupont and a first half penalty try saw France establish dominance, before further scores from Romaine Ntamack and Virimi Vakatawa meant they began to threaten England's top spot.
Ireland's tries came from Cian Healy, Robbie Henshaw and Jacob Stockdale, but will be disappointed with how their finale unfolded - having entered the game knowing a win by seven points would have been enough to end their campaign as Six Nations champions.
The final day of the tournament has seen France finish second and Ireland in third place.
Scotland finished fourth after a 14-10 win over Wales in Llanelli, while Wayne Pivac's finished fifth - one spot above Italy.
