England vs South Africa: Thousands of tickets still available for Rugby World Cup semi-final

England and South Africa fans can make a last-minute trip to Paris to watch Saturday’s Rugby World Cup semi-final, with more than 2,000 tickets still up for grabs.

The 80,000-capacity Stade de France is expected to be packed to the rafters for Saturday’s last-four re-run of the 2019 final, but supporters still have time to make late plans to be in the crowd.

On Wednesday morning, the Rugby World Cup official sale site had several hundred tickets still available in the region of €350, while the resale portal had more than 2,000 on offer.

New Zealand’s Friday night last-four clash with Argentina had more than 3,000 tickets available on resale.

Ticket availability for World Cup quarter-finals and semi-finals are often in a state of flux as supporters of different teams either seek to pick up or offload their seats.

Tournament organisers expect the match to be a sell-out in due course however, as all of those reallocations take place.

England’s pool stage matches had scores of empty seats despite the games being full sell-outs, with some tour operators not returning unwanted tickets to be offered on the resale platform.

Sunday’s 30-24 quarter-final win over Fiji saw Marseille’s Stade Velodrome still several thousand short of capacity, despite all tickets again being sold.
