England's preparations for next year's World Cup in Japan began with a win in the first of their autumn internationals against South Africa.
These two sides met as recently as this summer, when the Springboks won a three-match Test series 2-1, with England's consolation 25-10 victory in Cape Town coming after the series had been decided.
This is the first of four games to be played by England over the next month, with home fixtures against New Zealand, Japan and Australia to come.
