Their campaign starts with a tricky fixture against South Africa, who are also looking for their first World Cup win and enter as the third-ranked team in the world.
England have developed a habit of posting large totals and will be hoping for an explosive start from in-form openers Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy, as well as Jos Buttler.
With South Africa also possessing a number of dangerous batsmen, including Quinton de Kock and captain Faf du Plessis, the hosts will also be hoping for a good performance from their bowling attack, which could feature Jofra Archer.
