Kyle Sinckler injury: England prop knocked out two minutes into Rugby World Cup final vs South Africa

England prop Kyle Sinckler has been knocked out of the Rugby World Cup final after just two minutes.

Sinckler went down after an accidental collision with the elbow of teammate Maro Itoje as the pair made a tackle.

Sinckler appeared to be unconscious on the ground for several seconds before referee Jerome Garces stopped the game.

He was attended to by medical staff and able to sit up, and was replaced by Dan Cole on the tight head.

SInckler was eventually helped down the tunnel by doctors.

He was able to walk down the tunnel unassisted, but his final is over.

Cole will have to play more than 70 minutes at prop against one of the finest scrummagers in rugby in South African loose head Tendai Mtawarira.

England also lose Sinckler’s ability as a ball handler, with the Harlequins man a key cog in their attacking structure as a first receiver and distributor.
