England dethroned reigning champions New Zealand in a dominant 19-7 victory to advance to the Rugby World Cup final for the first time in 12 years.
The All Blacks had been on an 18-match winning streak in the tournament, but were outplayed and outhustled from the first minute by Eddie Jones’ side.
England rattled their opponents early as Manu Tuilagi crossed the try line in the second minute, with the tone set for the remainder of the match as New Zealand struggled to match England’s ferocity at the breakdown.
George Ford added four penalties and, despite a late Ardie Savea try, England’s resistance never faltered with a World Cup final now awaiting against the winner of Wales vs South Africa.
