England won the Cricket World Cup after beating New Zealand in a thriller at Lord’s.
Eoin Morgan’s men survived the drama of a super over after New Zealand's 241-8 was matched by England with Mark Wood run out from the final ball of the innings. Ben Stokes, who scored 84 in the chase, then returned alongside Jos Buttler to hit 15 from six balls before Martin Guptill was run out in dramatic fashion handing the tournament hosts the win.

"If we win the toss, we'll probably send New Zealand in, but Guptill could easily rise to the occasion," he said.
"They have got players who can win matches. I tipped New Zealand at the start of the tournament.
"Two tournaments in a row in the final, they must be doing something right."

Eoin Morgan has his say on today's final:
"It was brilliant, a sense of relief in many ways. A lot of the hard work with done in the last four years since that horrible World Cup, we've made a huge amount of ground as a team, we've grown together created a lot of leaders. We've been extremely disciplined but continued to learn throughout those four years.
"When it comes to the changing room, the players, and myself, belief is a huge thing. I certainly have it, it's one of the strongest attributes I have, it's stayed with me from the very beginning right through until however my career lasts.
"To be the best you have to win trophies, the one thing that will remain whether we win or lose will be the ambition to be competitive to try and win every trophy we are entered in or participate in.That hunger and that belief should remain the same past this World Cup but to make everything worthwhile, we need to win."
A vital ingredient for England's success has been the opening partnerships of Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy.
They've already scored four hundred partnerships in the tournament can they do it again today?
It's probably a good toss to lose today. The cloud cover grass on the wicket mean fielding first will offer a bit of help to the bowlers in the first ten overs.
But if the opposition bat well and see out the opening spells then they'll be in driving seat as evidenced by the way the tournament has gone so far.

Kane Williamson wins the toss and bats first. England will have to chase again. The kiwis name an unchanged team as they look to put runs on the board.
Eoin Morgan is happy to bowl first, he picks the same side that dominated Australia in the semi-final. The first ten overs could be crucial today, England need to limit the score New Zealand are looking to set.

Chris Woakes and Jofra Archer have a big task first up. They need to keep the lines tight and nullify the threat of Martin Guptill.
The opening overs will set the tone for the innings, Woakes and Archer were exceptional at Edgbaston and it'll be a tough day for the kiwis if they replicate that this morning.
Whatever happens there will be a new name on the World Cup trophy. Neither England nor New Zealand have ever won the tournament so come seven o'clock this evening history will be made.
