Welcome back to the Evening Standard’s LIVE coverage of the Ashes 2019 warm-up Test between England and Ireland at Lord’s.
Ireland took just one ball on the morning of day three to polish off England’s second innings and leave themselves chasing 182 to record a historic Test match victory at Lord’s.
England resumed on an overnight score of 303/9, but after a brief rain delay at the start of play, Stuart Thompson bowled tailender Olly Stone with his first delivery.
With two full days of play to come, should the weather play ball, England will have to bowl Ireland out for 181 or fewer to avoid a humiliating defeat just a week out from the start of the Ashes.
Cricket Correspondent Will Macpherson is at Lord’s today, and you can follow the action LIVE in our blog below.
