James Vince has been called into England's squad for Tuesday's deciding one-day international against India to allow Dawid Malan to play for the Lions.

Hampshire batsman Vince will be at Headingley as a replacement for Malan, who along with Sam Curran has been released to take part in the Lions' four-day game against India A.

The Lions team, which includes Test opener Alastair Cook and seamer Chris Woakes, will be skippered by Surrey opener Rory Burns for the match at New Road from Monday.

England seamer James Anderson took two wickets on his return to action with Lancashire's second team on Sunday after more than a month out injured.

The 35-year-old bowled 14 overs on the first day of a three-day friendly against Nottinghamshire at Old Trafford, taking two for 32 as the visitors were bowled out for 126.

It was Anderson's first appearance since opting to rest a shoulder injury after England's second Test victory over Pakistan on 3 June.

Anderson, England's record Test wicket-taker with 540 victims, is hoping to prove his fitness for the five-match India series, which begins on 1 August.
