The Three Lions got their World Cup campaign off to a flying start, beating Croatia 4-2 in the Group L opener with Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford all on target in Texas.
However, it was a game of two halves and the fact that Thomas Tuchel’s assistant coach Anthony Barry described the first half as “complicated and confusing”, will raise questions as to which England will show up in Boston.
Ghana, meanwhile, boast serious talent, including Antoine Semenyo, who scored 17 Premier League goals this season but veteran coach Carlos Queiroz must get the best out of him here.
The Black Stars squeezed past Panama in their first game thanks to a 95th-minute winner from Caleb Yirenkyi, but Tuchel’s side pose a far greater threat.
A win for either side would secure a round of 32 berth with a game to spare.

The match will take place at the Boston Stadium in Boston, Massachusetts.

Declan Rice and Harry Kane are fit and available for this game, after Tuchel confirmed Rice’s substitution was precautionary, while Kane, pictured with his leg strapped, said he felt physically “good” after the game.
Otherwise, Tuchel has a full contingent to choose from, with Trevoh Chalobah available for selection after replacing the injured Tino Livramento.
