England U21 vs Germany U21 LIVE
International friendly
Venue: Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth
Date: Tuesday March 26, 2019
Kick-off: 7:45pm GMT, tonight

Welcome to the Evening Standard’s live coverage of England's Under-21s, who face a real test of their credentials tonight as they take on Germany at the Vitality Stadium.

Aidy Boothroyd’s dominant young side are currently in the midst of an impressive 16-match unbeaten streak and were held to a 1-1 draw by Poland at Ashton Gate on Friday after a stunning free-kick from Sebastian Szymanski cancelled out Dominic Calvert-Lewin's early opener.

They will have to step it up a notch this evening on the south coast against a Germany team managed by Stefan Kuntz that will look to successfully defend their European Championship title in Italy and San Marino this summer.

Boothroyd is expected to make several changes to the Young Lions team that faced Poland, with Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon in line for a starting berth.

However, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tammy Abraham are both sidelined, while Callum Hudson-Odoi is currently enjoying a starring role with the senior side.
