Marcus Rashford is a major doubt for England’s Euro 2020 qualifier against the Czech Republic after missing group training on Thursday morning with an ankle injury.
The Manchester United striker instead underwent a separate indoor session at St George’s Park this morning away from the rest of the squad as Gareth Southgate finalised his preparations to face Jaroslav Silhavy’s side at Wembley tomorrow night.
Rashford originally sustained the problem against Liverpool on February 24 but has featured for United five times since then.
However, he is struggling to regain full fitness and Southgate must weigh up whether to risk the 21-year-old or hand Jadon Sancho his first competitive senior start.
Southgate’s plans have been hampered by a host of withdrawals with Trent Alexander-Arnold last night joining a list comprising John Stones, Fabian Delph, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Luke Shaw.
