England vs Czech Republic LIVE: Euro 2020 qualifier commentary stream, TV channel - Raheem Sterling hat-trick

England vs Czech Republic LIVE
Euro 2020 qualifying
Venue: Wembley Stadium
Kick-off: 7:45pm GMT, tonight

England kick off their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign with a home tie against Czech Republic at Wembley tonight.

Gareth Southgate's Three Lions are still riding a wave of euphoria following their dramatic qualification for the Uefa Nations League Finals back in November, and Friday night's match is one of two games to prepare for this summer's finals in France.

But while another potentially glorious summer awaits, Southgate will be keen for his players to focus on the task at hand and ensure they pick up three points before Monday's trip to Montenegro.

Team line-ups

Marcus Rashford has been ruled out of tonight's match and Monday's against Montenegro due to injury.

Standard Sport on Thursday that Rashford was a major doubt to face Czech Republic at Wembley on Friday night after missing group training on Thursday morning with an ankle injury.

The Manchester United striker instead underwent a separate indoor session at St George’s Park this morning away from the rest of the squad, but Southgate has now confirmed that Rashford has lost his fitness battle.

Rashford originally sustained the problem against Liverpool on February 24 but has featured for United five times since then.

Southgate must weigh up whether to risk the 21-year-old or hand Jadon Sancho his first competitive senior start, but said of the Borussia Dortmund starlet and Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi: "They're both ready."

Southgate’s plans had already been hampered by a host of withdrawals with Trent Alexander-Arnold last night joining a list comprising John Stones, Fabian Delph, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Luke Shaw.

England XI: Pickford; Walker, Keane, Maguire, Chilwell; Henderson, Dier, Alli; Sancho, Kane, Sterling

Subs: Heaton, Butland, Trippier, Rose, Tarkowski, Rice, Ward-Prowse, Barkley, Wilson, Hudson-Odoi

Czech Republic XI: Pavlenka; Kaderabek, Celustka, Kalas, Novak; Soucek, Pavelka; Gebre Selassie, Darida, Janko; Schick

Subs: Kolar, Koubek, Coufal, Zmrhal, Dockal, Frydek, Masopust, Kral, Suchy, Kudela, Vydra, Skoda

England squad

Defenders: Ben Chilwell, Michael Keane, Harry Maguire, Danny Rose, Kieran Trippier, Kyle Walker, James Tarkowski

Midfielders: Ross Barkley, Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Jordan Henderson, Declan Rice, James Ward-Prowse

Score prediction: England 2-0 Czech Republic

Czech Republic failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, but finished second in their Nations League B group behind Ukraine.

Southgate will be wary of a potential home shock, but England have enough quality to see off this challenge without too much trouble.
