Kieran Trippier scored a historic goal to end a run of 12 years without England scoring a free-kick goal at a World Cup with a stunning strike against Croatia in the semi-finals in Moscow.
The Tottenham right-back stepped up after four minutes following Luka Modric's tackle from behind on Dele Alli and curled the ball into the top corner to send a large section of the Luzhniki Stadium into chaos.
Trippier became only the third England player to score in a World Cup semi-final after Bobby Charlton's brace in 1966 and Gary Lineker's solo goal at Italia '90.
The last player to score a free-kick was David Beckham against Ecuador in the Round of 16 in 2006 in Germany.
The goal also had extra significance as it was the goal that meant that England have now scored more goals in the tournament in Russia than they have in every other World Cup, including 1966.
Trippier's strike was the 12th goal scored by the Three Lions so far.
