England vs Canada: Women's Rugby World Cup final prediction, kick-off time, team news, TV, live stream, h2h results, odds today

England’s 11-year wait to lift the Women’s Rugby World Cup trophy could end today as they face Canada in the final at Twickenham.

Canada will look to get their own back after being beaten by the Red Roses at the last hurdle in 2014, falling 21-9. That was Canada’s only appearance in a World Cup final, and they will aim to go one step further this weekend.

The Red Roses came into this tournament as favourites and have more than lived up to their billing, cruising to the final with minimal complaint.

After topping their group, knockout wins over Six Nations rivals Scotland and France delivered them to Twickenham Stadium, and they will fully expect to take the trophy home.

Having been beaten finalists in the last two World Cups, they will hope to finally get over the line in front of a sold-out stadium.

Canada produced a statement win in their semi-final win over New Zealand. They stunned the Black Ferns 34-19, dashing their hopes of a third straight world title.

Date, kick-off time and venue

England vs Canada is scheduled for a 4pm BST kick-off today, Saturday, September 26, 2025.

The match will take place at Twickenham Stadium.

The final will be preceded by the third-place game between New Zealand and France, which will also be held at Twickenham Stadium. Kick-off is at 12.30pm.

Where to watch England vs Canada

TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on BBC One, with coverage starting at 3pm BST ahead of a 4pm kick-off.

The third-place match will not be broadcast on terrestrial TV.

England vs Canada team news

There is little to report here, as neither England nor Canada have made changes from their semi-final squads.

Megan Jones, shortlisted for world player of the year in midweek, returns in the middle. Alongside her is Jess Breach. The pair have started in all six of England’s World Cup matches.

Ellie Kildunne returns having shaken off a concussion to score a brace in the semi-final.

Canada have remained consistent throughout the tournament. Their lineup is unchanged for the third consecutive match.

Karen Paquin makes the squad, and is the only member of the visitors to have played in the 2014 final.

England vs Canada lineups

England XV: Kildunne; Dow, Jones, Heard, Breach; Harrison, Hunt; Botterman, Cokayne, Muir, Talling, Ward, Aldcroft, Kabeya, Matthews.

England vs Canada prediction

Facing John Mitchell’s rampant Red Roses in front of 82,000 home fans at Twickenham Stadium, it would not be unfair to say that Canada have their work cut out for them.

England have won all five of their matches at the World Cup by an aggregate score of 283-42, and there is little to suggest that margin will get any smaller on Saturday.

Canada, as the world No2, will be England’s toughest opposition at the tournament thus far, but the Red Roses should prove too good. They have a date with destiny.

England to win by 15 points.
